Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely — in fact, you're exactly who we had in mind when we started Dive Nudi. Getting certified is the first step, but diving in the PNW can feel daunting without experience or a buddy network. We'll help you build confidence, get familiar with local sites, and find your footing in these waters.
-
Yes — all divers must hold a valid Open Water certification or higher. If you're not yet certified, we'd love to see you get there! Once you have your card, we'll be ready to get you in the water.
-
Divers are responsible for bringing their own gear. For PNW diving, a drysuit or a thick wetsuit (7mm or more) is strongly recommended — these waters are cold and you'll want to be comfortable! If you have questions about what to bring for a specific site or dive type, just reach out and we're happy to help you prepare.
-
We offer three ways to dive with us:
Community Dives — a great way to meet fellow PNW divers and explore together
One-on-One Dives — personalized, focused dives for those who want individual attention
Private Group Dives — book out a dive for your own group of friends, family, or club. We offer flexible pricing based on project type and complexity. After an initial conversation, we’ll provide a transparent quote with no hidden costs.
-
We keep our groups intentionally small, with a maximum ratio of 4 customers to 1 staff member. This means you get real attention, real guidance, and a genuinely personal experience — not just a crowd to keep track of.
-
We run dives across Oregon and Washington, exploring some of the best sites the Pacific Northwest has to offer — from the rich waters of Puget Sound and Hood Canal to sites along the Oregon coast. Not sure if we cover your area? Get in touch and we'll let you know what's available near you.
-
PNW diving is world-class, but it's also real-world diving — that means cold water, varying visibility, and occasionally strong currents. We dive as long as conditions are safe. If we determine that a dive isn't safe to proceed, we'll work with you to reschedule. Safety always comes first, but we do everything we can to get you in the water.
-
Yes! We'd love to show you what the Pacific Northwest looks like underwater. Whether you have a specific site in mind or want us to recommend something based on conditions and your experience level, we'll make sure you leave with a dive worth talking about.
